Significant ~40cm long, but almost invisible bumps on road going southbound on B4017

Going southbound on the Drayton Road (B4017) there are some significant bumps on the road about half a metre from the curb. I discovered them this morning after being thrown off my bike after not spotting them. They're odd in that they look to be where the road has buckled / wrinkled. This makes for a very smooth bump in the surface and makes them practically invisible, particularly in the low morning light with shadows cast onto the road. I can't say how long they've been there for but I would imagine they've been there a good while looking at the condition of the surrounding road. These bumps are hugely hazardous for cyclists as they are positioned right where one would cycle. Thankfully I was wearing a (now cracked) helmet, otherwise this would have cost me so much more than a new helmet.
