Curb overgrown
Reported in the Grass category anonymously at 00:54, Thu 25 June 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The foliage on the left hand side when turning into Begbroke Lane from the road has over the years grown over the curb stone and has narrowed the road by approximately a foot.
This piece of road is quite narrow to start with but with that overgrowth, vehicles often drive in the middle of the road, causing a hazard to vehicles coming in the opposite direction.

Problem not fixed. Overgrowth on Begbroke Lane from corner of slip road to village hall still narrows road by at least 12 inches. To repeat, this is a safety issue as very accurate driving is necessary for two cars to pass.

Council has cleared overgrowth of curbstone but foliage higher up still needs trimming so it’s not overhanging road. Roadsign not visible and 2/3 of width of road overhung for tall vehicles, who tend to drive on wrong side of road as a result. Needs clearing urgently.

Hedge is still over grown and making it difficult for 2 cars to pass if a lorry or van comes down the road it has to mount the pavement making it unsafe for pedestrians.

Hedge still overhangs road considerably; vehicles entering Begbroke Lane still drive in the middle of the road. If the homeowner won’t cut back his hedge, the council should do it for him and bill accordingly.

Householder’s overgrowth still narrowing the carriageway and obscuring signage.
Vehicles turning into Begbroke Lane from Woodstock Road East often drift onto the wrong side of the road and present a collision risk.
