Cycle path is buckeled
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 10:16, Mon 22 June 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
There is a severe hump in cycle path, just by the pedestrian crossing lights on the Slade and Girdlestone Rd (travelling northwards towards Old Rd). The tarmac has buckled up from the weight on the traffic. This is dangerous for cyclists as it is not visible on approach and will cause people to loose control of their bike and potentially end up in the rd.

I suffered an injury at this point today, 29th July, at 11.45am. I didn't see this large ridge in the cycle path as I was looking ahead at the crossing. The ridge caused me to lose control of my bike and veer off the cycle track into the carriageway, where I ended up lying in the middle of the road with my bike on top of me. Luckily two passers-by were on hand to stop the traffic and I only suffered grazes and bruises and some damage to the gears on my bike. However, it was just luck that I wasn't run over. This defect is very dangerous and needs immediate attention.
