Overgrown hedge interfering with my right to light and tv aeriel.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Wish to remove growth from hedge and trees on road which is interfering with use of my property and light. Hedge line on Summerfield rise bordering 1 Spencer close. Previously complained and no action taken. In excess of 2 years.

  • Thank you for your report.County Council funds for tree management are limited to health and safety works. There are no statutory or common law rights to light for a private landowner as relates to the presence of trees. The Council is neither obliged by Law, nor will it carry out, works solely to alleviate interference with TV or satellite signal disruption. It maybe that your satellite provider will be able to suggest an alternative solution to the problem, for example relocating the dish or means to boost the signal
