Bump in road due to underground service resulting in noise pollution

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:21, Thu 18 June 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Crossing Newlands Avenue at the entrance of Glebe Road there is a 5 cm high by 10 cm wide hump across the road due to a poorly laid underground service. When vans and lorries cross the hump it results in a loud banging noise, which is a disturbance for residents.

  • Occasionally heavy vehicles hit this and it results in significant vibration impact to No.62 (and, necessarily to 60 and 58. His has been the case since we moved in (2012) to the best of my knowledge Bob Mannix (62)
