Severe drainage issues

The Hornton Lane and the bottom of Clump Lane have had drainage issue for a number of years. After a flash food over five years ago the council put in a poor temporary drainage system that essentially sees the front of our property fill with water every time it rains. We have had to build a retaining wall to prevent any further erosion of our bank, and to try and stop our property from flooding. We had a man come from the council a number of months ago who suggested the entire drainage system of Hornton Lane needed redoing and this was a two year wait, however, in the mean time he suggested the drains could be cleaned/unblocked to try and reduce the amount of water that collects outside our property. Nothing has been done since we say him months ago, and we face the issue again of rain water collecting outside our house like a swimming pool. The area filled is over a metre high and it is unsafe for our child and impractical for us when we are trying to renovate our property and clad the retaining wall we have built. The council really needs to rework the drainage system as we do not want our property flooded. The drains clearly need clearing/unblocking immediately, but the drainage system as a whole needs updating and reworking ASAP.

Although slightly better, still the same issue. Drainage needs a redesign to cope with the amount of water runoff.

The problem still remains each time there is heavy rain overflowing the catchment area and flooding our garage.

31/10/21 - Today the culvert drain filled and overflowed so much that it ran down our driveway and not only flooded our garage but also the lower level of our house. The drain cannot simply not remove the amount of water that runs off the road and hence not only do we get frequently flooded at High View but there is also a large amount of standing water on the Hornton lane and entrance to Clump Lane. When the drain floods it is 3 to 4ft deep and is extremely dangerous to young children.
