Thank you for your report. After visiting the site pinpointed I can confirm that this hedge, obstructing the footway, is on private land, the responsibility of the landowner, or residents of 1 Stubble Close. I have requested a letter be sent to the landowner, or residents of 1 Stubble Close, asking them to cut back their vegetation, obstructing the footway, within 28 days of receipt.

After re-checking maps, the request for a letter to be sent to the landowner, or residents of 1 Stubble Close, asking them to cut back their hedge, has been cancelled as it's not their hedge. This problem hedge, growing from the verge, report, has instead been submitted, to the team responsible, to be cut back.

I know the very first owner of number 1 and he planted the hedge many years ago... also, the grass on the corner is never cut as it also belongs to number 1.

Still not cut back. The brambles are now hanging over the hedge in to the path making it impassable without cutting your face.

The team responsible looked at the site yesterday and feel that the overgrown vegetation does not block the path totally, only partly. This site is still being assessed, in the system, for implementation.

I have been and chopped all the brambles down on the hedge as I'm fed up with getting caught in them plus elderly residents walking in the road to avoid.
It could do with a good trim but for now its safer for all. Dave
