Our street had not been mowed or had any maintenance that I or my direct neighbours have been aware of since the beginning of March until last week. I put a comment on fix my street and two days later two men came and partially mowed the street but they have missed large patches (entire traffic islands) where the grass and weeds are now above knee level with some weeds growing taller. The weeds that are waist high along the walls of the social housing really need strimming, as well. Also, the bushes have taken over the foot paths and made it difficult to get by them. I am disabled and I alterate between a zimmer frame with wheels and crutches so this adds to my mobility challenges just getting to the car or walking to the post box. My husband and some of the neighbours have cut them back some but waste quickly fills our brown bins so this is not an acceptable or long-term solution. I haven't noticed other places in Abingdon looking as shabby. The parks are looking well maintained. Is this solely related to the pandemic or is there another issue?

This report is not the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council. A letter has been sent to Soverign housing requesting the to cut the bushes. The grass seems to have been cut.
