Dangerous Tree overhanging footpath at 45 degrees

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 15:14, Monday 1 June 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This tree has been reported as dangerous on a number of occasions over the last 18 months. It is now angled so low across the footpath that adults have to duck to get underneath it, and there is a real risk that it could injure pedestrians or fall into the neighbouring property. The other trees along this section of path also need to be assessed.

  • Added the photo taken while dog walking. I think the tree is dead but covered with lots of ivy.

  • This tree overhangs my property and is now leaning dangerously across our fence and garden. (It is leaning far more than this time last year.) I have attached photos to show how much of a crown it has, all of which is over our property. I am concerned about the damage and potential injury it could cause if it falls.
