Branches falling off trees.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Sorry to be a nuisance but the tree I reported last summer is still shedding boughs on to the footpath beside my house at regular intervals. I sent the following email last summer; "A footpath runs down the side of my house (15 Chalmore Gardens, Wallingford, OX10 9EP). The path is to the North of the stream you see on the map. Between the path and the stream are some trees (Sycamores). They are starting to get very big and I am concerned that they pose a risk to the footpath underneath. I have had to clear away some large branches off the path over the last few weeks and there is one large one trapped in a branch that could fall down on the footpath at any time." The latest bough landed across the footpath and I had to clear the path with my chainsaw. It also took a phone line out too. This is happening every month or so and I do worry that this particular tree is a safety risk. Thank you.

The overhanging trees are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by Oxfordshire County Council in our capacity as local highway authority. You are advised to contact Land Registry to determine who is responsible for the land on which the trees are growing and therefore, have the responsibility for the trees.
