Overhanging dangerous tree

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 14:57, Friday 15 May 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This tree was reported last year and should have been cut down by 31st March but nothing has been done. It is far too big to be near residential houses, it is taking light from my house now, my living room is now dark and shaded and is causing damp and leaving sap on our vehicles and the fence. It is covering the front of one of my neighbours house who has also reported the problem and is overhanging another’s garden. Apart from bird droppings it is also covering the street light which is a security concern as it is now very dark at night. I can’t imagine where the roots must be which is also another concern as they could interfere with the drains. It really needs completely cutting down now before any serious damage is caused.

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. We have instructed our contractors to carry out works to the tree described in the enquiry. We are experiencing a delay in programmed works due to adhering to the government's current social distancing guidelines. We will carry out these works as a priority in the coming weeks.

    Many Thanks For your enquiry.
