Thames water did attend and then a sign was out up, but nothing has happened and the howl of getting bigger

Reported in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 12:39, Wednesday 6 May 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

This hole in the road is getting bigger and we’ve not heard anything from Thames Water or the County Council. It may be that each thinks the other is dealing with this?

  • This was reported on 24 April if not earlier. It appears Thames Water and Ox Highways deny responsibility while the hole becomes worse. Please fix it and argue about it afterwards. Folly Cottage, Spencer Cottage, Brook Cottage Moreton Thatch, The Old Bell, Cuttledge, The Hawthorns and vine Cottage will not be able to get passed if the road sinks much more.

  • I am writing this in both frustration and annoyance, regarding the very large sinkhole which appeared first about four months ago, outside our drive. We have written at length about this, which is now a matter of urgency. The sinkhole is becoming a health and safety hazard; I myself have a disability, and find it difficult to negotiate the entrance to our driveway. I appreciate that these are difficult times, however there must be a way that somebody could repair this dangerous hazard.
