Road was dressed before repair

Reported in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 22:32, Monday 4 May 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later

Alvescot road has been dressed recently with tar and chippings. However the road was not repaired or prepped for this. Filling potholes, repairing ironwork, removing peaks at the centre of the road, ensuring minimum kerb height - these are all safety measures. Also it should be known that this type of work leads to broken windscreens and high speed stones hitting pedestrians and cyclists in the face. The foot path suffers for years after this 'treatment' as there is detritus from the work all over the path. This is hardly ever vacuumed up.
