Flat depression (reported in 2018!) by railings and damaged road edges
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 18:15, Fri 1 May 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Square depression causing very bad thump which SHAKES my house so much that I am often woken by this in the mornings. I have asked again and again for this to be fixed and was told last year the work would have to be done when other work on the road is carried out - and the road would have to be close down afternoon April 2020 for this to be carried out as budget for 2019-2020 was not sufficient. There are areas near the drive where the road edges are breaking up - along a stretch about 150 yards - as well as many potholes in the area. Please fix these but the most important are is the square depression by my cream railings. Many thanks.

I have been in touch with the council and even has a visit last year. Was assured that this whole stretch would be dealt with but as it requires a road closure, it would have to be done after April 1st - due to the budget. With the pandemic it obviously hasn’t been done. It is very frustrating as road edges are bad all the way from the Bletchingdon sign up to Home Farm and I’ve been asking fir the depression in particular to be repaired for ages. I’m unimpressed by the whole saga. Some severe potholes were patched - total waste of time. Patching must surely not be the answer.

I wish to repeat all I have said before. I would appreciate an email update as to when this will be done. I know the plan was to close and repair the road at the beginning of this financial year, but obviously I appreciate the lockdown has postponed that. However, now I think it is reasonable to have an update. This is a long-standing problem. I’ve lost faith in the Highways Dept ever fixings this. Please kindly respond. Thank you very much.
