This is an on going issue been like it for a year! Underpass upavon way near ely close (carterton)The underpass is flooded , I have seen children playing in the deep water and raised my concern with oxford council about the health and safety aspect. Was told I would get an update? Nothing . The danger of crossing the main is also a concern especially for elderly and young children as the underpass is out of use. I would appreciate feedback on this ongoing matter. Kind regards nicola Boxall-robinson

This issue has not been resolved. There is 8ft+ of stagnant water now - an environmental health risk and a physical risk as children have been playing in and around the area (ignoring the temporary fencing.) This is still ongoing despite numerous contacts through this platform and through EH Techs contacting the council.

This underpass is a disgrace the water has been sat festering for a year. In this climate of covid and illnesses the last thing we need is some putrid water sitting around posing a serious health risk. Not to mention the fact the tunnel is now that overgrown it now poses another hazard as its not immediately visible on the sides and poses a serious trip/fall hazard especially in the darker evenings.
