Divinity Road Speeding

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 10:08, Monday 16 March 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 minutes later

I've recently been completely appalled by the number of cars dangerously speeding down Divinity Road, Cowley. Particularly as it is a very popular road for students, I fear that it can only be a matter of time before there is an accident. I'd like to request some more information about the road, speed limits etc, and also suggest a speed bump on the road.

  • Unfortunately, Oxfordshire County Council do not have the authority to enforce against vehicles exceeding the speed limit as this rests with Thames Valley Police.

Traffic Calming comprising road humps and chicanes have already been provided at key locations to slow traffic down. The road is also within a 20mph speed limit.
