This hole has been there for 3 years. For 2 years it has been covered by a temporary fibreglass patch, which is now cracking up. The stairs are heavily used, and need a permanent repair.

  • Over 2 years now since OCC put a temporary fibreglass 'patch' over the hole. The patch is now starting to break up. No move to make a proper repair.

  • Thank you for your report. I have made the Bridges Team aware of this new enquiry they have replied as followed. "We are aware of the condition of the steps, and the situation has been made as safe as possible, rather than a closure. Meanwhile there are some engineering issues that are being looked into. Also as you can imagine, we have had lots of work delayed, due to the current Covid-19 situation, and jobs have had to be re-prioritised, therefore we’re not in a position to give any dates at the present for any work due." I have checked the yellow cover and could find no reason to change it. This report is now closed.
