Hi there, this is a reoccurrence of a past problem which was repaired a year or 2 ago. The road is completely disintegrating again. There is significant subsidence, alongwith deterioration of the top layer of the road which has created multiple pitholes as well as gravel and detritis to appear as the road surface deteriorates. The depression underneath the road has got really bad I am afraid to say and it definitely needs an engineer to look underneath the repairs to identify the real cause of why there is now at least 15 inch or more depression in the middle of the road. Sorry no photos.
For many years there has been a worsening sinkhole / structural issue affecting both lanes of the carriageway at the end of Blandford Avenue. It's awful to drive over and is forcing traffic to a narrow gap either side, made more pronounced by the fact local taxis park at the end of the road so, if you are turning off Woodstock road onto Blandford, you have to be prepared to come to a complete stop in case a taxi has parked on the double yellow line on either side. This is dangerous because often you will be followed by a stream of traffic from the traffic lights on Woodstock road who expect you not to be stopping on a junction.
