Street lights out - new street lights useless.

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 11:33, Wed 4 March 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

Street light out for 4 nights so far on Heron Walk by the street name sign going into the narrow Darrell Way junction. Also street light out for a week on the blind bend of Darrell Way/St Mary's Green. Added to the appalling lack of light given by the "new" recently installed street lamps in Darrell Way, we - the local residents - now have no security - our gardens, front doors, alleyways between the houses etc are now in pitch darkness at night. Last night people were using torches to walk along the pavements in Darrell Way! The green is also now completely unlit - another security worry.

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.
