Lamp not functioning

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:50, Mon 2 March 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

You ask me to be polite but I really cannot understand this bizarre system. I reported a faulty light at the entrance to Waitrose; you have carried out some repair to the lamp but the timeswitch is not working properly, so the lamp is randomly on or off after dark. When I tried to communicate this by commenting on your reply it tells me my answer won't be reported to the council so I have to start again with a new report. How crazy is that for clunky online setup? Any way thanks for response first time round.

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.
