I have previously contacted you in regards to people parking in Roman way but nothing is ever done. Approaching Roman way from North street, cars park on the right side of the road which obstructs two way access on this road. Most offenders don’t even live in Roman way. During the day it’s people parking there to prevent having to pay for parking when using the train station. The amount of times that I have almost had a car crash in to me is unacceptable. I am also fed up of people not willing to move when it’s my right away. I have spoken to a few residents and we are all fed up of it. Something needs to be done to stop people parking down Roman way free of charge. Parking permits would be a good idea. Cars also need to be stopped from parking on a blind bend. It is not safe and it’s an accident that will happen.

Thank you for your report. We reccomend that you speak to your local councillor and suggest double as they may be able to fund this. The legal work costs around £3000 to get the traffic regulation order through to consultation. However, we may suggest an keep clear marking but this will have no legal implications.
