The residents of Borough walk are using the drop kerbs in St Nicholas Green to drive up on the path (going round a partially blind corner) to park on the green space outside their properties - it's more of a mud rink now! This is incredibly dangerous and shows a complete disregard for others that live in the area. I have just been forced to walk in the road again because of a car driving up onto the pavement. Children are particularly vulnerable and there have been a few near misses. I know there is lack of parking but they shouldn't be doing this. Someone will get hurt. I attach photos of the mess and damage caused. You can't even walk on a lot of the path past the houses as it's so muddy and dangerous. We need bollards particularly at the end of St Nicholas Green to stop this. Or perhaps make some more parking bays outside their houses.

  • This report has been closed. However the issue has been passed to the relevant team for consideration for future programmed works. The grass areas here are not highway but most of the paths are and I have asked the technician to consider placing bollards in the edge of the paths that are ours. it is an offence to drive on a footpath, if you witness this happening please report this to the police on 101.
