A protruding cast iron drain has caused damage to my vehicle and has cost me £222 to repair today! On taking my vehicle to the local garage for repair, they informed me that this was not the first time they have had to repair tyres due to the this drain. The road is fairly narrow so when two cars pass each as the drain protrudes the grass verge it catches tyres hence causing the damage.
