Delays caused by temporary lights in peak traffic

Reported in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 10:43, Thu 27 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

The temporary lights are being put up at the peak of the traffic, at 8am, which seems an odd decision considering they could be put up at 9am in order to avoid a 45 minute queue. Please consider putting the lights up at 9am rather than 8am in order to ease the massive congestion that is occuring.

  • When works are being done on a major road such as this, they should be made to work 24 hours until it is complete. Why should thousands of motorists have iup to 1/2 an hour added to their journey each day for longer than necessary? The traffic management is poor, with no one on the anned lights being seemingly aware of the chaos being caused along Nosworth way in the mornings!!!
