Broken hazard reflector signs at dangerous corner.
Reported in the Bridges category anonymously at 20:30, Wed 26 February 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
The hazard reflector signs at the corner and bridge in Yelford have all been broken. Traffic coming through the village from the east is in danger of slipping into the stream if vehicles mount the verge in order to pass. Please inspect urgently and call me to explain. Peter Fullerton, Chairman Yelford Parish Council, LInten Warren, Yelford, OX29 7QX. Tel 01865 301617.

Further to our telephone conversation I will add this work to our spreadsheet for signing works for 2020/21 with a request for 4 new vergemarker posts either side of the road. I am not able to confirm exactly when this work will be undertaken.
Regarding the unauthorised wooden sticks that have been placed in the verge nearby, these should be removed and a request for wooden bollards with reflective markers on (like those that were previously here) should be submitted to your parish council for approval. If approved then you will be able to make an application for these to Oxfordshire County Council who will provide you with a quotation for the cost of the works. The cost of the bollards will have to be met by outside funding (either yourself or the Parish Council may be willing to help towards payment) because OCC does not have funds available for this.
