Street light not working, corner of queen st, Bloxham

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 20:10, Wed 26 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

This street light is not working and hasn’t been for months. I don’t think it is acceptable to simply state that it is due to the electrical supply and not your problem. This is dangerous, it is impossible to see the pavement/kerb/road in the dark. Traffic passes at speed and pedestrians are not visible. I use this area for dog walking every day. It is simply an accident waiting to happen. We pay council tax to ensure necessities such as street lights are provided and you have a responsibility to ensure the safety of your residents. Passing the buck is not an option. Please resolve this before you are responsible for an accident.

  • This supply fault has been passed to the electricity company to rectify as we cannot work on their network, engineering work is also being carried out here as part of other works being done to under ground cables, the cable fault will be rectified on 12 March. Apologies this has not been resolved earlier.
