Broken up road caused by underwater spring
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 17:16, Tue 25 February 2020

I made you aware of this problem on Brook Street in December. Since then, due to adverse weather conditions, the force of the spring water is starting to break up the road. The water is now not only flowing down Brook Street, but also onto my driveway. Thames water inspected the site on February 24th and confirmed it was spring water as no chlorine was present. The weather is worsening with temperatures dropping and I’m concerned that it is going to be a potential hazard for pedestrians, particularly school children. Excess water has flowed onto the driveway and as I have a prosthetic leg, I have been finding it difficult to even get to my own car.
