Damaged/demolished bollards
Reported anonymously at 15:31, Tue 25 February 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and West Oxfordshire District Council 6 minutes later
There were a line of 5 bollards lining the edge of the pavement alongside the A415 Standlake/B4449 Aston Road junction. Three of the bollards have been missing for several months, having been knocked down and damaged by cars and need replacing as they provide a valuable sight line for vehicles on a very busy and accident prone corner.

Thank you for reporting this. I have checked previous photos of this location from 2016 and it shows that there were 3 bollards here. I also visited the site and couldn't find any signs of 2 further missing ones. I will arrange for one new bollard to be replaced and ask for the other 2 to be cleaned. This work will be added to our 2020/21 spreadsheet for signs maintenance. Unfortunately I am unable to confirm exactly when this work will take place.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately I have to take issue with your information. We have lived here since 1995 and I can assure you that there were 5 bollards originally. I have 2 of the missing bollards stacked beside my bins as shown above, the 5th bollard has been missing for some considerable length of time. I would be grateful if you will reinstate at least 4 given that 4 exist, and preferably all 5. Many thanks.
