Road drain discharges directly into Cedar Lodge property
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 14:47, Mon 24 February 2020

Despite reporting this time and time again the propblem has not been solved because your operatives have continued to go to the wrong drain. WWe have now undertaken dye test into the drain and adjacent drains and it all pours our into the driveway of Cedar Lodge. A deep trench has been dug to discover that there is no pipework connecting to the road drain. it just pours out into Cedar Lodge. This can all be clearly seen. There is no out flow drain. Roadway water just discharges into the ground which makes its way into the inside of Cedar Lodge. The outflow is visible for the authority to inspect. GET IT FIXED or the owner of Cedar Lodge will make reparations for the damage done.

Thank you for your report. We investigated drainage system and CCTV shows that drain from manhole outside property wall connects to stone culvert that runs through private land therefore is land owner responsibility to maintain it. OPC drainage had half a tank of water discharged to the manhole in question and all water drain away fine.
