Repaired pothole is continuing to grow

I reported this pothole outside Holcot House, Market Square, in December and it was quickly repaired. In January it opened up to the south (right in the photo) and this was also repaired (thank you). But, as I could have predicted, it has now opened up to the north (left) and this is growing daily. Cars splash mud and grit directly onto our front door, and there are large pieces of stone lying around which would break a window if thrown up by a fast car. I can also foresee that it will continue to spread either side as the tarmac is badly pitted and it is obvious that the substructure is weak. I would therefore strongly recommend that the repair goes further in both directions, i.e. maybe a 4 metre stretch, otherwise this problem is going to continue. A more extensive repair would be more economical in the long run.

When this pothole is eventually fixed it will be the third repair to this spot this year and, unless the job is done properly on this occasion, future visits will be necessary. Surely this is not the best way to use limited resources. This pothole is in a particularly busy location and I am surprised that there has not been an quicker response to earlier reports

This pothole continues to grow. Stones from the road sub base are being thrown up at the front door of the adjacent house and on to parked cars. A proper repair is urgently required

I reported this pothole problem 3 times a year ago (16.12.19, 12.1.20, 23.2.20) - each time it was repaired but only as a small patch, and each time it opened up very quickly further along. It has now opened up again. As last year, cars splash mud and grit onto the front of our house which is right on the pavement edge. There are unsightly splashes on our windows. We have had to repair windows recently and we are about to repair our door, and there is no doubt that the deterioration of the front of our house is being aggravated by this pothole. A more extensive repair is needed - although the present pot hole is to the immediate S of the repaired patch (1st photo) I am sure that the pitted tarmac to the immediate N (2nd photo) will also open up soon into another hole. Please can you ensure that an adequate repair is done - there is no point your coming repeatedly to do small patches when a more extensive patch would fix it for a long time. Thank you.
