22 inch pot hole

Reported in the Current Roadworks category anonymously at 21:01, Thu 20 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

Huge deep pot whole just as you climb the bottom of the hill for the railway bridge. Caused a huge bang on my van wheels. Surprised it didnt wreck the rim or damage the strut or drive shaft. Its grown since with other drivers hitting the same hole. I managed to avoid but wont be long before it causes someone serious car damage.

Council ref: ENQ20858927

  • The road surface outside our two hundred year old house has deteriorated to such an extent that when the huge lorries, on their way to the Hanney Rd. depot thunder down the hill, or take a run at it, (usually speeding) the whole property shakes. Of course the constant flow of forty ton trucks increases the damage. We really need repairs and speed control mechanisms, and preferably some negotiation with the depot. The volume of HGV traffic is seriously affecting our lives.
