Drainage gullies blocked on corner of A361 opposite the Wychwood Inn
Reported in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 15:47, Mon 17 February 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
There are 4 surface water drainage gullies here. 3 of them are blocked, only one at the edge is working and the puddle is enormous. It now covers the footpath which is very narrow at this point. Cars are swerving to avoid the puddle if they can, if not they are spraying water over any unfortunate pedestrian!

The 3 affected drains were unblocked this morning. However the drain on the bend in Milton Road (opposite Walnut Tree House) is still overflowing. The man doing the work said he thought the drain between this and the one on the junction with the A361 was either collapsed or blocked somewhere. This needs URGENT attention as the weather is due to get colder and if it freezes it could be lethal. We also believe that the lack of drainage is affecting the water table at this point and consequently water is seeping through the steps of our cellar. The drains need checking with a camera to see if collapsed and/or jetting to clear the mud which washes down the length of Milton Road.
