Dangerous street light
Reported via Android in the Street lighting category by Bethia Thomas at 15:45, Wed 12 February 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
I saw this street light which had obviously been damaged by a vehicle. The pole was bent, but more worryingly the lighting unit was swinging in the wind - this could be incredibly dangerous in high winds. The street light had a number three on it, and an adjacent light, number five was also damaged.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, unfortunately the unit(s) you are referring to are not owned, maintained or adopted by Oxfordshire County Council, these are private lights that would be the responsibility of the developer/landowner whom you would need to contact direct.
Unfortunately we do not keep records of private units. Please accept our apologies as we cannot assist any further on this occasion.

The problem has been fixed but not through the activity of the report on Fix My Street. It was sent to the Oxfordshire County Council, but as it was not on their land nothing was done. It was only through the land owner noticing independently that it was remedied - I followed it up with the landowner later to ensure this was better monitored in the future.
