Constant diggingup the layby in Steventon High Street

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Rosemary Howden at 17:00, Tuesday 11 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

The exact same bit of layby outside my house at 5 High Street, Steventon is being dug up for the 4th time since May 2019 How ridiculous that the work cannot be co-ordinated, what a waste of resources and what an inconvenience to me as a resident. The workmen also inform me they're not allowed to repaint the white lines fronting the zebra crossing on this occasion either. I have previously complained about this and been told there's no money till April so how is it that money is wasted by re- digging the same bit of road so often. I have decided to write to the local press about this whole saga, I think much of Oxfordshire will be highly amused as well as horrified at such inefficiency from the council.
