No yellow lines to entrance of bambrooks mews

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 12:31, Wednesday 5 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

This entrance before the gates to Bambrooks Mews needs yellow lines painting Ignorant people park here, despite the no parking sign, blocking pedestrian access to the private pedestrian gate. As well as blocking the bin store

Please paint lines Ideally a double red route But if you have no red, then yellow would be acceptable Thank you

  • The installation of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a ‘Traffic Regulation Order’, this involves a long and expensive legal process including public consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council do not currently have the available funding for such a scheme.

We would suggest that an initial approach is made to your Parish Council so that due consideration can be given towards its priority within the local area and so that the proposal can be endorsed and promoted locally. Parish Councils are also well placed to secure the necessary financial cost to such a scheme.

It should also be noted that vehicles parking in a dangerous position are committing an offence under Section 22 of the Road Traffic Act 1998 which should be reported to Thames Valley Police
