Traffic on the road.

On Glanville Road and am starting to really struggle with the weight of cars on our road, as well as the behaviour of some of the drivers during the Oxford Spires school run.
There is generally traffic blocked up both directions on the street, with drivers hooting their horns for considerable periods. We also take our two children to primary school during the school run and cross over the road - we often have to contend with frustrated drivers accelerating through small gaps in the traffic. It can be quite dangerous at times.
Is there anything that you're doing/could do to try to combat this type of behaviour? I realise that some people have to drive to school, but it creates an extremely unpleasant and sometime dangerous environment for residents and other users of the road during school drop off.
Alongside this we also find that people constantly speed down the road (at times over 40mph) when there is no traffic on the road.

Thank you for your report. We have assessed it and found that it does not currently meet the criteria for intervention, so will not be fixing at this time.
Since this report Oxford has had 20 mph zone introduced. I hope this has helped with any speeding traffic coming down your street. But also for note, Speeding is Dealt with under Thames Valley Police.
