Traveling out of Uffington on the Fernham road as it goes over the hump at the wharf where the canal used to go under the road (grid ref. 51.605780, -1.567882, Post code SN7 7PS). The old canal bridge was filled in long ago, but there appears to be subsidence occurring in the middle of the road where it crosses the old bridge. Can this please be checked to make sure the bridge is safe, and the large indent filled?

This problem has not been dealt with! The road bridge is now much worse. Dangerous for cyclists, and vehicles now stopping to pass, and with trailers on, can be wary of losing their load. As where we live we can see and hear, the problem it is causing. Please can this be inspected as soon as possible.

This problem still hasn’t been dealt with and it is causing concern, and dangerous especially for cyclists. This surface and pothole is in the centre of road on a small bridge, but a very busy highway from Uffington to Fernham. It desperately wants seeing to before there is an accident.

Sadly, this problem has not been dealt with! It is becoming much worse and really needs something done urgently. It is causing concern for motorists and cyclists. Low sports and classic cars almost scraping the underside. The noise from heavy vehicles going over this is vibrating and shaking our property.
