Speeding cars daily. Cats ran over.

Our cat was hit by a car on Heather Road suffering a fractured and titled pelvis. Since then I’ve been in contact with many residents in Southwold who had their animals hit or experienced drivers speeding daily down the through roads. There are no speed signs or any road prevention down Heather Road or other roads in the Southwold estate. I would like to request at the absolute minimum speed signs on lamp posts but ideally speed prevention. I don’t want this to be something that only gets addressed when a child is hit by a speeding car. Please can you help. Or point me in the direction of people that can. Thank you.
I have a Facebook thread with residents agreeing and I’m sure they’d be willing to sign some sort of petition.

I feel like this is being ignored. Probably because my focus is on cats. My fear is this will only become a priority when a child is hit. Cars bomb it down Heather Road!

This has been ignored for two months. All we want is some sort of speed awareness or even some kind of deterrent. Post me some twenty is plenty signs and I’ll mount them myself!

Another cat ran over down Heather Road a few weeks ago. Driver left it on the side of the road for locals to find. Owners have started letting it out again and it’s very lame on its back legs. I went out the end of my drove the other evening to see if I could spot the Space X Starlink satellites. Multiple cars flew down Heather Road at very high speeds. 30+mph i would say.
I’ll keep posting these stories each time a new questionnaire comes in.
Still know response. I initially posted this before lockdown came in.

Nothing done. No response. You’ve only got to join the southwold Facebook group to hear about all the speeding cars and run over pets.
