Bike lane markings ad signage required on Little Clarendon treet

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 09:52, Saturday 1 February 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

Since the closure of Walton Street at the Beaumont Street junction there has been increased traffic on Little Clarendon Street, moving from Woodstock Rd to Walton Street. This traffic includes many large vehicles. The bike lane that travels up Little Clarendon Street in the reverse direction from Walton Street to Woodstock road is poorly marked, with the painted marks very worn. There needs to be signs at the Woodstock road and Little Clarendon junction alerting drivers to the fact that cyclists are allowed to travel in the opposite direction. I have witnessed 3 occasions of road rage from drivers against cyclists travelling up this lane. The drivers were not aware that it was legal for the cyclist to do so, however there is no signage to alert them to this.
