Several potholes on the A4185 as you approach Rowstock Roundabout

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 13:07, Fri 31 January 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

As per subject header. There are a series of potholes and other road defects, mainly in the offside lane, (but the nearside lane isn't much better) as you approach Rowstock roundabout from the A4185 as the single road widens into two lanes. Some of the potholes are getting really bad now.

IMHO, this whole stretch of road from the single carriageway to the roundabout needs a complete resurface. The earlier attempt of just dressing the road with chippings had no effect on improving the road, as it was just put down on a road surface that needed repairing first.

  • Getting worse by the day. Just like the rest of the roads around Oxfordshire.

  • Something needs to be done about this URGENTLY ! Damage to wheels is now highly likely.

  • Considering the roads are fairly quiet at the moment, surely it's an ideal time to go out and repair a few.

    Just a thought.

  • Yawn. This is taking longer than paint to dry.

  • 4 months on, and bugger all has been done.

    Why do I sound surprised?

I guess the recent weeding of the roundabout at Rowstock took priority over fixing potholes and all other road defects around this area.
