Street light needs replacing

Resident reported that a street light on the corner of St Swithun's Road and Bagley Wood Road was knocked down in a traffic collision several months ago but was not replaced (1st picture shows the street light in question, and the second image shows it missing). The location of the light was in St Swithuns Road adjacent to my property, 75 Bagley Wood Road, OX1 5LY, which occupies the corner of St Swithuns Road and Bagley Wood Road.

Resident advised that "It is several months since the felled light was correctly and promptly removed and made safe, and I should like to know whether there is a plan to replace the light and, if so, when that might happen, as there is now a significant dark area at night where it used to be."

Please could this be replaced as soon as possible? Many thanks

  • Ref:00366622 Thank you for your report, OCC are now responding to out of lights within the contracted timescales of attending site within 7 working days for repairs. If there is a cable fault this will be passed to the Electricity company to repair and will take longer, it will depend on the resources which the District Service Operator has. Thank you
