Surcharge of Surface Water
Reported in the Drainage category by Bill Major at 10:11, Tue 28 January 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 6 minutes later
The surface water drainage outside No 144 Loyd Road is higher than the low point of Loyd Road outside No.146. In the event of heavy rain, and the lack of maintenance of the system, the surface water gullies surcharge and ponding occurs outside No.146 up to and sometimes encroaching over the property boundary. Passing vehicles then bow wave forcing water to inundate the driveway, causing degradation of the drive. An additional surface water gully in the low point and approx 3m connection to catchpit in highway would cure future problems. Photo attached shows location and low point with standing water two days after rain.
