Raised ironwork in road

Reported via iOS in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:56, Sunday 26 January 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

This raised manhole cover and ironwork burst front and rear tyres and severely damaged allow wheel. Luckily managed to come to a controlled stop. Someone else might not be so lucky if this is not fixed urgently. This cannot have suddenly become exposed like this.

  • Another car appeared to be abandoned on the way into Appleton with a flat tyre - probably hit the same manhole.

  • Still not fixed or even marked up to be fixed! An AA van was changing the wheel on another car just beyond this point only last week, how many damaged cars (or worse) will it take before anything is done?

  • Well over a month later and no action has been taken whatsoever - shocking!
