Missing bike-lane or bike-box for left-turn
Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 10:19, Wed 22 January 2020
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
When turning left from Headington Road to Marston Road on a bike, there is no bike box on the road. The bike lane on the pavement to the left stops abruptly before the turn making it difficult to use - the path becomes a pavement and there's no dipped curb to merge onto the road. Please add a bike-box to this junction or clarify (with signs/road markings) how to use the bike lane to turn left.

Thank you for your report. The off road cycle track at this point bypasses the traffic signals at the junction between London Place and Marston road with cyclists being expected to rejoin the carriageway at the dropped kerbs indicated in the attached image.
The Give Way lines also indicated in the attached photo indicate that cyclists should give way to both pedestrians using the crossing and vehicles turning into Marston Road ether from Headington Hill or London Place.
