Trees are growing over the pavement and road and in poor condition.

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 16:22, Monday 20 January 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

The trees are in poor condition and appear dangerous. They are not fenced off and so children from the school opposite may play beneath them or climb them. Following conversations with officers at SODC I understand that the land is privately owned and not council land.

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by Oxfordshire County Council in our capacity as local highway authority. You are advised to contact Land Registry to determine who is responsible for the land on which the trees are growing and therefore, have the responsibility for the trees.
