Obstruction for disabled people by cycle racks

Reported in the Pavements category by ann paterson at 12:33, Thursday 16 January 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

Cycle racks alongside the Cinema in Didcot Orchard Shopping centre cause major problems to both disabled people and pram users, particularly when there is a long queue of bus passengers. They need to be re-sited elsewhere within shopping centre. There are plenty of larger open spaces where they would be better suited.

  • Thank you for your report. Unfortunately I am unable to help with this enquiry as the cycle racks have not been placed on the maintained Highway, the responsibility of Oxfordshire County Council. Also as we do not keep records of third party land ownership I am unable to help you further other than suggest speaking to the Orchard Centre who may be able to help you. If they cannot another option is to contact Land Registry who for a fee will supply you with the registered owner. This report is now closed.
