Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

6"-1' of water completely submerging the carriageway in both directions for at least 0.5 mile. not just at this location, but at several points along the A417 between Faringdon and Wantage. This road requires re-engineering: Raise the height of the road surface at key flooding locations; re-profile the road surface, not just another layer of tarmac over the existing lumps; remake the foundations at the road edges so these don't just crumble after 6 months; relay new drains which don't rely on roadside ditches full of leaves and twigs; repaint the white lines and replace the cats-eyes.
