Deep pothole on south side of road

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 19:25, Sunday 12 January 2020

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

I hit this pothole on Friday and it destroyed both front and rear tyres nearside. Because there were puddles on the road, it was impossible to see that this was a deep pothole, and as a truck was approaching in the opposite direction, I couldn't have avoided it even if I had seen that it was so deep. I had to have my car transported home by a breakdown truck, and have 2 replacement tyres at a cost of £94.00, which I would like the council to reimburse (invoice available).

  • I hit this pothole on Tuesday 21st January at 19:20pm and burst my front nearside tyre. It was dark and the pothole was full of water so I couldn't see it. I had to drive close to the edge of the road to allow oncoming vehicles to pass on the other side of the road. I had to have my car taken home by a recovery vehicle and my tyre replaced.

  • I have just hit the same pot hole, no signs or warnings are in place and now awaiting recovery as back tyre has been blown.
