There is a huge deep pothole now by St Peter's Church. Rain at the weekend and today has significantly increased the size of the existing pothole.

The pothole near the church caused damage to vehicle and is likely to damage others if not fixed. The street lights are also not working. Drainage on the road is poor with the rain over the last few weeks it has been flooded a lot.

The pothole was filled in promptly but the problem with surface drainage continues to worsen. Water is emerging from the road in 3 places now. It has been particularly dangerous on frosty mornings.

Dear OCC - this problem has re-occured and is causing very hazardous driving conditions. I have just witnessed a driver swerving the potholes and water leak which could result into encroaching on the pavement. Can you address with Thames Water as it seems that the drainage system is the underlying problem that causes the road surface to have so many holes. The location is adjacent to the church but the problem of the leaking water and holes extends across a very large stretch,.

This is one of the water leaks. To my knowledge it has been leaking for months. Presumably OCC will require Thames Water to fix the road properly (and fix the underlying issue). Time to contact County Councillor to get this addressed.

Pot holes and drainage/water leaks continue to be a problem on this road. Due to the width when two cars pass each other they end up in the potholes which can't be seen due to the water laying on the road surface.

Dear OCC, when will this be looked at and a full investigation into the root cause?!? The amount of daily traffic this road has through it due to the school and "rat-run" through boars hill to avoid fox hill, should get more attention. The pot holes and leaks are a major hazard. Plugging the holes is not the answer as the drainage system requires fixing I suspect.

Contacted Thames Water and they say it is surface water. How can this be the case? I wonder if they have even made a trip out to look. The water is pumping through the tarmac. This has been going on for weeks/month.

I think we need to get our district councillor involved tbh as I’ve seen multiple cars swerve to avoid the holes and it will only take the water to Ice up for there to be an accident - god forbid if a child gets hit on the school run.
