Street light not working at east end of Church Lane

The single street light at the east end of Church Lane is not working leading to a very dark area which is a hazard to vehicles and especially pedestrians

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

  • The street light in question has no number, It is the only street light fixed to a pole at the east end of Church Lane where it meets with the car park in Vicarage Gardens. It is one Church Lane, and has been for many years and I understand that this is an adopted road.

  • Having contacted the Cropredy Parish Council on this matter I can now advise that the street light is No. 1 in Church Lane.

  • Please hurry up and fix this light as I feel very vulnerable as Church Lane (where I live) is in pitch darkness.

  • Ref: 00365670 Thank you for your report, OCC are now responding to out of lights within the contracted timescales of attending site within 7 working days for repairs. If there is a cable fault this will be passed to the Electricity company to repair and will take longer, it will depend on the resources which the District Service Operator has. Thank you
